Job Description:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a minimum 3-5 years of experience in plastics, molding, automation, and industrial processes to join our team. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, reducing costs, and driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

You're responsible for designing and refining molding operations, troubleshooting equipment issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for plastic molding and other industrial operations.
  • Develop and modify manufacturing methods to improve product quality, production efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality control, and production, and maintenance to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery, molding processes, and materials.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring production issues.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure manufacturing processes are aligned with company goals.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, using Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies, to enhance overall productivity and reduce waste.
  • Oversee the qualification and validation of new tooling, equipment, and technologies for injection molding processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source materials, tooling, and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field, or similar relevant experience in Engineering role
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on plastics, blow-molding, industrial processes, or automation.
  • Strong knowledge of blow-molding techniques, materials (plastics), and tooling.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven track record of process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis is a plus.
